Validate and normalize Swedish organisation numbers, Bankgiro numbers and Plusgiro numbers using deterministic format and checksum rules.
The endpoint returns structural validation results for Swedish organisation numbers, Bankgiro numbers and Plusgiro numbers. It includes normalized and formatted values together with separate indicators for format validity, checksum validity and overall structural validity.
The response contains product, type, normalized, formatted, format_valid, checksum_valid and structurally_valid. A structurally valid result means that the supplied value matches the supported format and checksum rules.
Responses are returned as JSON with predictable key-value fields. Valid and structurally invalid identifiers both return a normal validation result, allowing applications to handle the outcome without treating an invalid identifier as an API error.
The endpoint validates three identifier types: Swedish organisation numbers, Bankgiro numbers and Plusgiro numbers. It does not provide company registry data, ownership information, VAT status, ordinary bank account validation or IBAN validation.
The request body contains two string fields: type and value. Supported type values are organisation_number, bankgiro and plusgiro. The value field contains the identifier to validate.
Validation is deterministic and based on defined format and checksum rules, including Luhn checksum validation. No external registry lookup is performed, so the API validates structure rather than real-world existence, ownership or registration status.
Typical use cases include validating Swedish business and payment identifiers during onboarding, ERP imports, accounting workflows, checkout flows, data cleaning and integration between business systems.
Users can use format_valid, checksum_valid and structurally_valid to decide whether an identifier should be accepted, rejected or flagged for review. The normalized and formatted values can then be stored or passed to downstream systems. A structurally valid result confirms format and checksum only; it does not confirm real-world existence, ownersh
