About the API:

With Phone Validator API you will be able to know if any of the numbers located on your database are valid or not. Also you will receive extra information about where it is that phone number as well. 

 

What your API receives and what your API provides (input/output)?

Just pass the phone number you want to validate. Do not worry about country prefixes, the API will solve it automatically for you. After you pass the number you will receive information like the validity of that number, country, and also carrier company (Verizon, Movistar, Vodaphone, etc.).

 

What are the most common uses cases of this API?

This API is ideal to check what numbers on your database are valid. Use it to check what numbers are reachable before making an SMS campaign. Or, maybe, you want to sort your phone numbers database by country or company carrier to have a better approach to your customers. 

 

Are there any limitations with your plans?

The only limitation is the number of API calls you can make per month.

Endpoints


Use this endpoint to check the phone number's validity and its additional information. 

The information that this endpoint retrieves is: 

  • status String Status indicates the success or failure of the request execution. Values: success, error
  • phone String The phone number provided as input.
  • phone_valid true/false True if the phone number provided is valid.
  • phone_type String The phone number’s type. Values: fixed_line, mobile, unknown, fixed_line_or_mobile, toll_free, premium_rate, shared_cost, VoIP
  • phone_region String Country region corresponding to the phone number. Empty for mobile numbers.
  • country String Name of the country corresponding to the phone number. Example: Canada, Netherland
  • country_code characters 2 letters ISO code of the country corresponding to the phone number. Example: CA, NL
  • country_prefix String International country dialing code. Example: 32, 971
  • international_number String The phone number in the international format, with a leading + sign. Example: +44 020 3289 6993
  • local_number String The phone number in local dialing format. Example: 020 3289 6993
  • e164 String The phone number is in standard E164 format, with a leading + sign. Example: +4402032896993
  • carrier String Name of the carrier providing the phone number.

Verification - Endpoint Features
Object Description
phone [Required] The phone number to verify. Do not worry for prefixs or country codes!
default_country [Optional] The default country in a 2 letters ISO format. Example: US, RU. Optional: the country will be infered from the prefix, from this parameter.

After signing up, every developer is assigned a personal API access key, a unique combination of letters and digits provided to access to our API endpoint. To authenticate with the Phone Number Validator API REST API, simply include your bearer token in the Authorization header.
