With the Cortical.io Keyword Extraction API, you can harness valuable insights contained in textual data and seamlessly integrate cutting-edge keyword extraction capabilities into your applications or projects.
Keyword extraction can be applied to various business use cases to extract important terms or phrases from text data. It helps organizations extract actionable insights from large volumes of text data, enabling them to make informed decisions, improve their strategies, and enhance their overall performance. Keyword extraction can be used to improve search engine optimization (SEO) efforts, label data for content management systems (CMS), or analyze websites and social media for competitive analysis or customer feedback analysis.
The Cortical.io Keyword Extraction API draws upon Cortical.io's expertise in natural language processing (NLP), combining both Cortical.io’s proprietary NLP method called Semantic Folding and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. Semantic Folding is a machine learning methodology inspired by neuroscience that enables the creation of language models with comparatively small amounts of data. With Semantic Folding, text is converted into a new data representation called a semantic fingerprint. Semantic fingerprints capture the different meanings of words based on thousands of parameters and form clusters of similar contexts. For document processing tasks like classification and semantic search, the system just needs to measure semantic overlaps between semantic fingerprints – a highly efficient computational approach that delivers accurate results with less computing resources.
Designed to be user-friendly, the Cortical.io Keyword Extraction API offers a unique combination of high speed, accuracy, transparency and flexibility, and enables straightforward integration processes.
The Cortical.io Keyword Extraction API is available for 4 languages: English, German, Spanish and French. The size of requests is limited to 10KB.
This endpoint extracts the semantically most relevant words from a given text. The "number of keywords" parameter can ideally be selected in proportion to the length of the text (default is 10 terms).
