The InstaGet Downloader API retrieves downloadable media from public Instagram posts and Reels.
How it works (Download)
id and progress_url.progress is 100.download_url from the Progress response to retrieve the media (video MP4 or image, depending on the post).Video Information returns metadata (post ID, title/caption, author, media kind, engagement metrics, thumbnail) without completing a full media download workflow when cached/available.
Scope
/p/…) and Reels (/reel/…, /reels/…) — video or image.Use the download_url from Progress to fetch the file. Do not expect the Hub to proxy binary media responses.
To use this API the user must indicate the URL of an Instagram content to obtain the download.
InstaGet Downloader API is a powerful tool designed to facilitate the seamless retrieval of Instagram posts, reels and stories. It provides users with a simple way to integrate Instagram content into their apps, websites or services.
There are different plans suits everyone including a free trial for small amount of requests, but it’s rate is limit to prevent abuse of the service.
Zyla provides a wide range of integration methods for almost all programming languages. You can use these codes to integrate with your project as you need.
The GET IG Download endpoint returns a JSON object containing details about the requested Instagram content, including fields such as `id`, `username`, `caption`, `is_video`, `is_album`, `video_img`, and `video_url`.
Key fields in the response include `status` (indicating success), `result` (containing content details), `id` (content identifier), `username` (creator's handle), `caption` (text description), and media URLs (`video_img`, `video_url`).
The response data is structured as a JSON object with a top-level `status` field and a `result` object. The `result` object contains specific details about the Instagram content, making it easy to access relevant information.
The primary parameter for the GET IG Download endpoint is the `URL` of the Instagram content you wish to download. This URL must point to a valid post, reel, or story.
Users can customize their requests by providing different Instagram content URLs in the API call. Each URL will yield specific data related to that content, allowing for tailored media retrieval.
The endpoint provides information about the content type (post, reel, story), creator details (username), media quality (high resolution), and additional metadata like captions and video URLs.
Users can utilize the returned data to display Instagram content on their platforms, analyze engagement through captions and media types, or create curated collections of media for marketing or community engagement.
Typical use cases include content aggregation for websites, marketing campaigns using user-generated content, influencer performance analysis, and social media monitoring to track trends and engagement.
