About the API:
Be able to extract the text of an image that has handwritten text.
Just pass the image URL of the image that you want to extract its text from, and receive a JSON object with the text extracted.
This API is ideal for companies or users that need to have their data better structured. Maybe you have some documentation that is handwritten, this API will allow you to extract the text in JSON format allowing you to have access to that information programmatically.
Also, you will be able to recognize any text inside the image and detect if there is any improper content that needs to be banned.
Besides the number of API calls per month, there are no other limitations.
The Text Extractor endpoint returns a JSON object containing the extracted handwritten text from the provided image. It includes details such as the status of the request, image metadata (like dimensions), and the recognized text along with its bounding box coordinates.
Key fields in the response include "status" (indicating success or failure), "name" (image URL), "md5" (hash of the image), "width" and "height" (image dimensions), and "entities" (which contains the recognized text and its position).
The response data is structured as a JSON object. It contains a "results" array, where each result includes metadata about the image and an "entities" array detailing the recognized text and its bounding box coordinates.
The Text Extractor endpoint provides information about the handwritten text detected in the image, including the text itself, its position within the image, and metadata such as image dimensions and processing status.
Users can customize their requests by providing different image URLs to the Text Extractor endpoint. The API processes the image and returns the corresponding extracted text, allowing for flexibility in the input images.
Typical use cases include digitizing handwritten notes, processing forms or documents with handwritten entries, and analyzing handwritten content for improper text detection or data extraction for further processing.
Users can utilize the returned data by parsing the JSON response to access the extracted text and its coordinates. This allows for integration into applications for data analysis, storage, or further processing of handwritten content.
Data accuracy is maintained through advanced OCR algorithms that are trained to recognize various handwriting styles. Continuous updates and improvements to the model help enhance recognition capabilities and reduce errors in text extraction.
