Validate DNS records, check whether an email domain can receive mail, and verify EU VAT numbers in one JSON API.
It confirms syntax and that the domain publishes mail exchange records. It cannot confirm that a specific mailbox exists on the receiving server.
VAT numbers are checked against the official European validation service at request time, and the trader name is returned when the registry provides it.
Address records and mail exchange records are returned for the domain you supply, which covers the most common signup and deliverability checks.
The DNS Record Lookup returns DNS records including A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, and CNAME records. The Email Address Verification returns details about the email's validity, including format, domain, and MX record status. The EU VAT Number Validation returns the VAT number's validity, associated country, registered trader name, and address.
Key fields include "domain," "A," "MX," "valid," "email," "vat," "registered_name," and "registered_address." Each field provides specific information relevant to the respective validation process.
Each endpoint returns a JSON object structured with relevant fields. For example, the DNS Lookup groups records by type (A, MX, etc.), while the Email Verification includes fields for validity and reasons. This organization allows easy access to specific data points.
The DNS Record Lookup provides DNS records, the Email Address Verification offers email validity and domain checks, and the EU VAT Number Validation supplies VAT status and trader details. Each endpoint serves distinct validation needs.
Users can customize requests by specifying the domain for DNS lookups, the email address for verification, or the VAT number for validation. Each endpoint accepts a single parameter relevant to its function, allowing targeted queries.
DNS records are retrieved from authoritative DNS servers, while email verification checks against mail exchange records. VAT validation is sourced from the official European Commission's VIES database, ensuring reliable and accurate information.
Common use cases include verifying email addresses for marketing campaigns, ensuring valid VAT numbers for invoicing, and checking DNS records for domain setup and troubleshooting. These validations help maintain data integrity and compliance.
Users can leverage the returned data to enhance email deliverability, validate business transactions, and ensure proper domain configurations. For instance, a valid email score can guide marketing strategies, while accurate VAT details support compliance in invoicing.
