Public PitchBook profile data for companies and investors: overview, financing, investors, competitors and contacts.
The API returns public profile data for companies and investors, including an overview, financing details, investor information, competitors, and contact details.
Key fields include the company name, PitchBook URL, profile type, description, website, year founded, company status, employee count, financing status, primary industry, headquarters, and total funds raised.
The response is structured in JSON format, with a "success" status, a "requestId," and an "items" array containing individual profile details, each represented as an object with specific fields.
The endpoint provides comprehensive information about a company's profile, including its financing history, investor relationships, competitive landscape, and contact information.
Users can customize requests by specifying parameters such as company name or PitchBook ID to retrieve specific profiles, allowing for targeted data retrieval.
The data is sourced from PitchBook's extensive database, which aggregates information from public records, company filings, and industry reports to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Typical use cases include market research, competitive analysis, investment evaluation, and identifying potential business partnerships or acquisition targets.
Users can leverage the detailed profile information for strategic decision-making, such as assessing investment opportunities, understanding market positioning, and analyzing industry trends.
