The Image Finder by Keyword API allows you to programmatically search for images based on any keyword. Upon receiving a query, the API returns a structured list of image results, including key metadata such as the image title, thumbnail URL, original image URL, link to the context page, dimensions (height and width), and file size.
Designed for performance and accuracy, this API helps you find relevant visual content from trusted web sources such as Wikipedia, Amazon, media outlets, e-commerce platforms, and educational sites. Each image result includes a preview (thumbnail) and a direct link to the original, making it easy to implement in user interfaces, design systems, or automated workflows.
To use this endpoint, you must specify a keyword in the parameter.

The API returns a structured list of image results based on the specified keyword. Each result includes metadata such as the image title, thumbnail URL, original image URL, context page link, dimensions (height and width), and file size.
Key fields in the response include "title" (image title), "thumbnail_url" (preview image), "original_url" (link to the full image), "context_link" (source page), "dimensions" (height and width), and "file_size" (size of the image file).
Users can customize their requests by specifying different keywords in the query parameter. This allows for targeted searches to retrieve images relevant to specific topics or themes.
The response data is organized as a JSON array of image objects. Each object contains fields for the image's title, URLs, dimensions, and file size, making it easy to parse and utilize in applications.
The API sources images from trusted web platforms, including Wikipedia, Amazon, media outlets, e-commerce sites, and educational resources, ensuring a diverse and reliable image collection.
Typical use cases include content creation for blogs and websites, research projects requiring visual aids, and integration into applications that need relevant images for user interfaces or design systems.
Users can utilize the returned data by displaying the thumbnail images in their applications, linking to the original images for full views, and using the context links for additional information about the images.
The API maintains data accuracy by sourcing images from reputable platforms and regularly updating its database to ensure that the images and metadata are current and relevant.
The API can retrieve a wide variety of images, including photographs, illustrations, and graphics, based on the specified keyword. This diversity supports various content needs, from educational materials to marketing visuals.
The primary parameter for the Image Finder endpoint is the "keyword," which specifies the search term for retrieving relevant images. Additional parameters may include filters for image type or size, depending on future enhancements.
The response data is structured as a JSON array, where each element represents an image object. Each object contains fields such as "title," "thumbnail_url," "original_url," "context_link," "dimensions," and "file_size," making it easy to access specific information.
If no images are found for a given keyword, the API will return an empty array. Users can implement fallback mechanisms, such as displaying a default image or suggesting alternative keywords to enhance user experience.
The API covers a broad range of categories, including nature, technology, art, and more, sourced from various platforms. This extensive coverage allows users to find images across diverse topics and regions.
In the response, "title" refers to the image's name, "thumbnail_url" provides a small preview, "original_url" links to the full-sized image, "context_link" directs to the source page, "dimensions" indicates the image size, and "file_size" shows the image's storage size.
Users can display the "thumbnail_url" for quick previews and link the "original_url" for full views. The "context_link" can be used to provide users with additional information about the image, enhancing the overall user experience.
The API ensures quality by sourcing images from reputable platforms and regularly verifying the accuracy of the metadata. This process helps maintain a high standard of relevance and reliability in the image results provided.
