Airline Routes Airplanes and Airports Database API FAQs

The API is a data service offering detailed information about global airline routes, aircraft specifications, and airports. It provides data on routes, aircraft details, airport amenities, and more.

The API primarily supports JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) as the data format for both requests and responses, making it compatible with a wide range of programming languages.

Yes, the API offers search capabilities, allowing you to filter data by criteria such as airline name, airport code, or location. You can also search for specific routes or waypoints.

The API offers both real-time and static data. Real-time data includes flight schedules, while static data covers information like airport facilities and aircraft specifications.

Data in the database is regularly updated to ensure accuracy and reliability. The frequency of updates may vary by data type, and you can check the API documentation for more details.

Each endpoint returns specific data types: the "Get Airline Routes" endpoint provides route details, including departure and arrival airports, flight times, and durations. The "Airports" endpoint delivers airport information such as IATA/ICAO codes, geographic coordinates, and amenities. The "Airlines" endpoint offers airline details, including names, country codes, and websites. The "Airplanes" endpoint returns aircraft specifications, while "Aircraft Types" lists various aircraft models.

Key fields vary by endpoint. For "Get Airline Routes," important fields include `airline_iata`, `dep_iata`, `arr_iata`, and `duration`. The "Airports" endpoint features fields like `codeIataAirport`, `nameAirport`, and `timezone`. The "Airlines" endpoint includes `name`, `country_code`, and `website`. The "Airplanes" endpoint provides `numberRegistration`, `planeModel`, and `enginesCount`. Each endpoint's documentation details specific fields.

Users can customize requests by utilizing various parameters. For the "Get Airline Routes" endpoint, parameters like `dep_iata`, `arr_iata`, and `airline_icao` are required to filter results. The "Airports" and "Airlines" endpoints allow filtering by specific codes or names. The "Airplanes" endpoint requires parameters such as `numberRegistration` or `hexIcaoAirplane`. Users can combine these parameters to refine their queries.

Response data is structured in JSON format, with a `success` field indicating the request status and a `data` field containing the relevant information. For example, the "Get Airline Routes" response includes an array of route objects, each containing fields like `airline_iata`, `dep_time`, and `arr_time`. This structure allows easy parsing and integration into applications.

The data is sourced from various aviation databases and industry partners, ensuring comprehensive coverage of airline routes, aircraft specifications, and airport details. Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Simply go to the Pricing section of the API you're subscribed to and click the "Unsubscribe" button.

Please note that upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations take effect immediately. Once your subscription is canceled, access to the service will end immediately, regardless of any remaining API calls in your quota.

After 7 days, you will be charged the full amount for the plan you were subscribed to during the trial. Therefore, it's important to cancel before the trial period ends. Refund requests for forgetting to cancel on time are not accepted.
When you subscribe to an API free trial, you can make up to 50 API calls. If you wish to make additional API calls beyond this limit, the API will prompt you to perform an "Start Your Paid Plan." You can find the "Start Your Paid Plan" button in your profile under Subscription -> Choose the API you are subscribed to -> Pricing tab.
