The Whiskers Match API is a cat breed identification service designed to analyze images of a cat's whiskers and determine its breed. Upon receiving an image of a cat's whiskers, the API uses advanced image recognition algorithms and machine learning models trained on a large database of cat breeds to perform a detailed analysis.
The API process focuses on unique characteristics of the whiskers, such as their shape, size and distribution, and compares them to the characteristics of various cat breeds stored in its database. From this analysis, the API generates a result that includes the likely breed of the cat and, in some cases, a confidence level indicating the model's certainty of identification.
To use this endpoint you must indicate a url in the parameter.

The Whiskers Analyzer endpoint returns data that includes the identified cat breed, a confidence score indicating the accuracy of the identification, and potentially additional characteristics related to the whiskers analyzed.
The key fields in the response data typically include "breed" (the identified cat breed), "confidence_score" (a numerical value representing the certainty of the identification), and "whisker_characteristics" (details about the analyzed whiskers).
The primary parameter for the Whiskers Analyzer endpoint is "image_url," which should contain the URL of the cat's whiskers image to be analyzed. Ensure the URL is accessible and points directly to an image file.
The response data is organized in a JSON format, with key-value pairs representing the identified breed, confidence score, and whisker characteristics. This structure allows for easy parsing and integration into applications.
The data for breed identification is sourced from a comprehensive database of cat breeds, compiled from veterinary studies, breed registries, and expert contributions, ensuring a wide coverage of recognized breeds.
Data accuracy is maintained through continuous training of machine learning models on diverse datasets, regular updates to the breed database, and validation against expert assessments to ensure reliable breed identification.
Typical use cases include pet adoption services identifying breeds for potential adopters, veterinary clinics assessing breed-specific health concerns, and cat enthusiasts learning more about their pets' breeds based on whisker characteristics.
Users can utilize the returned data by integrating the breed and confidence score into applications for pet care, education, or breed-specific recommendations, enhancing user engagement and providing valuable insights into cat breeds.
