Handle Validator API FAQs

The API employs a proprietary algorithm to make API calls to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube, checking the availability of the provided handle by analyzing responses from each platform.

The API delivers responses in a standardized JSON format, containing information on the availability of the handle on each social media platform, along with any relevant metadata.

The API is regularly updated to align with changes in the APIs of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. Developers are encouraged to check the API documentation for version details and any updates related to social media platform changes.

Yes, the Handle Searcher API is designed to be versatile and can be seamlessly integrated into both web and mobile applications using standard HTTP requests. Sample code snippets and documentation are available to guide developers through the integration process.

The Handle Searcher API utilizes industry-standard authentication mechanisms such as API keys or OAuth tokens to secure access. Developers need to include the required credentials in their API requests to authenticate and access the service.

The API returns a JSON object containing the handle's availability status across five social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. Each platform's response includes a URL and a boolean indicating whether the handle is available.

The key fields in the response include "status" (HTTP status code), "success" (boolean indicating request success), "handle" (the queried handle), and "social_media" (an array of objects with "name", "url", and "is_available" for each platform).

The response data is structured as a JSON object. The main object contains the overall status and success of the request, followed by the queried handle and an array of social media objects, each detailing the platform name, URL, and availability status.

The API provides information on the existence of a specified handle across major social media platforms, including direct URLs to the handles and their availability status (available or occupied) for each platform.

Users can customize their requests by specifying the social media handle they wish to check. The API does not currently support additional parameters for filtering or modifying the search beyond the handle itself.

The Handle Validator API sources its data directly from the respective social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube) by making API calls to check the existence of the provided handle.

Data accuracy is maintained through regular updates and checks against the latest responses from social media platforms. The API is designed to reflect real-time availability based on the current state of each platform.

Typical use cases include brand identity protection, social media marketing campaign planning, user onboarding enhancements, influencer collaboration vetting, and personal branding strategy development, ensuring users select available and consistent handles.

Prices are determined by a recurring monthly or yearly subscription, depending on the chosen plan.
API calls are deducted from your plan based on successful requests. Each plan comes with a specific number of calls that you can make per month. Only successful calls, indicated by a Status 200 response, will be counted against your total. This ensures that failed or incomplete requests do not impact your monthly quota.
Zyla API Hub works on a recurring monthly subscription system. Your billing cycle will start the day you purchase one of the paid plans, and it will renew the same day of the next month. So be aware to cancel your subscription beforehand if you want to avoid future charges.
To upgrade your current subscription plan, simply go to the pricing page of the API and select the plan you want to upgrade to. The upgrade will be instant, allowing you to immediately enjoy the features of the new plan. Please note that any remaining calls from your previous plan will not be carried over to the new plan, so be aware of this when upgrading. You will be charged the full amount of the new plan.
To check how many API calls you have left for the current month, refer to the 'X-Zyla-API-Calls-Monthly-Remaining' field in the response header. For example, if your plan allows 1,000 requests per month and you've used 100, this field in the response header will indicate 900 remaining calls.

You can monitor your API usage through the response headers included with every request:

x-zyla-api-calls-monthly-used: Shows the total number of API requests you have used during the current billing period.
x-zyla-api-calls-monthly-remaining: Shows the number of API requests you have remaining for the current billing period.

The 'X-Zyla-RateLimit-Reset' header shows the number of seconds until your rate limit resets. This tells you when your request count will start fresh. For example, if it displays 3,600, it means 3,600 seconds are left until the limit resets.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Simply go to the Pricing section of the API you're subscribed to and click the "Unsubscribe" button.

Please note that upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations take effect immediately. Once your subscription is canceled, access to the service will end immediately, regardless of any remaining API calls in your quota.

After 7 days, you will be charged the full amount for the plan you were subscribed to during the trial. Therefore, it's important to cancel before the trial period ends. Refund requests for forgetting to cancel on time are not accepted.
