Salary benchmarks for any job title and city from live job postings: median, P10 to P90 and top-paying companies. Daily.
From the pay ranges employers publish in their own live job postings on public company career sites (Workday, Oracle, Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever and more): over 1.2 million open jobs, refreshed every day. No LinkedIn or Indeed scraping.
Each posting's pay range is turned into an annual figure (hourly pay x 2,080 hours) and its midpoint goes into the percentiles: median, 10th, 25th, 75th and 90th, plus the typical range and an hourly median. Ranges that are not believable or are wider than 4x are left out.
Any city, state or country, or anywhere when location is left empty. Shortcuts work too: usa, uk, europe, canada, india, latam and apac. Results come in the currency most matching postings use; other currencies are listed separately.
No. These are the ranges employers offer in their postings, not what people end up being paid. Most postings with pay come from tech and fast-growing companies, so medians run higher than all-industry surveys.
The job database behind it is rebuilt every day. Each response includes dataAsOf with the exact time. After a quiet period the first call can take about 10 seconds while the data loads; calls after that are fast.
The API returns salary benchmarks for a specified job title and location, including median salaries, percentiles (P10 to P90), typical salary ranges, hourly medians, top-paying companies, and example job postings.
Key fields include jobTitle, location, salaryP10, salaryMedian, salaryP90, typicalRangeLow, typicalRangeHigh, hourlyMedian, topPayingCompanies, and matchingPostings, providing a comprehensive view of salary data.
The response is structured in JSON format, with salary data grouped by job title and location. It includes numerical values for salaries, company names, and counts of postings, making it easy to parse and analyze.
The endpoint provides information on salary percentiles, typical salary ranges, hourly rates, top-paying companies, and the number of job postings, offering a detailed overview of salary trends for specific roles.
Users can customize requests using parameters such as jobTitle, location, seniority level, and remoteOnly to filter results according to their specific needs and preferences.
Users can analyze salary benchmarks to inform hiring strategies, salary negotiations, and market research. The data can also help identify competitive salary ranges and top employers in specific regions.
Data accuracy is maintained by sourcing salary information directly from live job postings on reputable company career sites, ensuring that the figures reflect current market conditions.
Typical use cases include salary benchmarking for recruitment, compensation analysis for HR departments, market research for job seekers, and strategic planning for businesses looking to attract talent.
