Business-Day and SLA Calculator API calculates business days, SLA due dates, holiday-aware deadlines, and business-time durations.
The API handles business calendar data including business day checks, weekend rules, holidays, regional calendar rules, adding business days, subtracting business days, SLA due dates, business hours, business-time duration between two datetimes, skipped dates, timezone-aware results, and deadline calculations.
The API returns business day status, date checked, result date, start datetime, end datetime, due datetime, timezone, country, region, business time in minutes, business time in hours, skipped dates, warnings, safety notes, and disclaimer.
This API is useful for developers, SaaS builders, support platforms, helpdesk services, CRM services, ticketing systems, workflow automation platforms, legaltech platforms, fintech services, HR platforms, operations teams, B2B software companies, logistics services, contract management services, invoice and payment platforms, customer success platforms, internal admin services, and agencies building business apps.
The API calculates business-day, holiday, business-hour, and SLA timing results from submitted request data. It does not hack, brute force, attempt logins, scan private systems, scrape restricted content, change customer data, send emails, create calendar events, approve or reject requests, guarantee legal compliance, guarantee contractual compliance, or replace legal review of SLA terms.
Each endpoint returns JSON data. The "Check Business Day" endpoint provides information on whether a date is a business day, including holiday details and warnings. The "Add Business Days" endpoint returns the resulting business date after adding specified business days, along with skipped dates and warnings.
Key fields include "date," "is_business_day," "holiday," "result_date," "skipped_dates," and "warnings." These fields provide essential information about the business day status, holidays affecting the date, and any skipped dates during calculations.
Parameters for the "Check Business Day" endpoint include "date," "timezone," "country," and "region." For the "Add Business Days" endpoint, parameters include "start_date," "days," "timezone," "country," and "region." Users can customize requests by specifying these parameters.
The response data is structured in a JSON format with key-value pairs. Each endpoint's response includes relevant fields such as dates, business day status, and any warnings, making it easy to parse and utilize in applications.
The API uses business calendar rules, weekend settings, country holiday data, and optional regional holiday data to calculate date and time results. Returned results depend on the submitted request data and available calendar rules.
Typical use cases include calculating SLA due dates for support tickets, determining business hours for project timelines, and automating workflows that depend on business day calculations, such as contract management and invoicing.
Users can use the returned data to support scheduling workflows, estimate business-day deadlines, calculate business-time durations, and display timing results based on submitted dates, business hours, weekends, holidays, and regional settings.
When a result is partial or empty, review the warnings, skipped dates, date fields, timezone, country, and region values in the response. The response may indicate missing inputs, calendar limits, or date rules that affected the returned result.
