Every API on Zyla API Hub goes through the same quality rules, however it was published: the web wizard, an import or the Listings API used by AI agents. They exist so customers can trust what they buy and good APIs are easy to find. Listings that don't meet them are not published, and the error says what to change.

Write in English, we translate it

Write your listing in English: name, descriptions, endpoints and FAQs. Zyla API Hub translates it automatically into the other languages of the hub (Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi and Chinese), so your API reaches customers in all of them. When you edit the English text, the translations are updated too.

Name

  • A clear name, in English, that says what the API does and includes the word "API", for example "Weather Forecast API".
  • Unique on the hub, and up to 50 characters.
  • It must look like a finished product. Names that suggest a test, a demo, a copy, a placeholder or a duplicate of another API are not accepted.
  • Write brands and platforms in full (Instagram, not IG) and don't use the names of other API marketplaces.

Descriptions

  • In English, explaining what the API does and what it returns. The short description needs at least 50 characters.
  • Consistent with the name and the endpoints.
  • Informative, not promotional: no advertising, prices, discounts or claims you can't back up.

Keep everything on the hub

Zyla API Hub is the intermediary between you and your customers: discovery, billing, keys, limits and support all happen on the hub. That is how we guarantee quality to both sides.

  • Don't include email addresses, websites, phone numbers, social profiles or any other contact details anywhere in the listing: name, descriptions, endpoints, FAQs or example responses.
  • Don't invite customers to contact you or buy outside the hub.
  • Questions from customers reach you through Zyla.

Endpoints

  • A clear name and a description of what the endpoint does.
  • A valid method and base URL, and every parameter with its type and a short description.
  • A real example response, so customers can see what they get before they buy.

Plans

  • At least three paid monthly plans, where a more expensive plan always includes more calls.
  • Per-minute rate limits between 60 and 240 requests.

How many new APIs you can create

To keep the catalog useful and avoid floods of low-quality listings, every account has a quota of new APIs. The quota grows with your track record.

Account New APIs Linked APIs (variants of one of your APIs)
No paid sales yet 5 per 24 hours and 20 per 7 days 20 per 24 hours
At least one paid subscription 20 per 24 hours 60 per 24 hours
  • The windows are rolling, and deleted APIs still count. Editing your existing APIs never counts.
  • Over the quota, new APIs are rejected with a message that says when you can create more (the Listings API answers 429). Your account and your existing APIs are not affected.

Review

Automatic checks run when you save, and the Zyla team reviews APIs on the hub. An API that doesn't follow these rules or the Terms and Conditions, even if it was published, can be rejected, hidden or removed.
