The Paw Species API is a sophisticated tool designed to provide global animal breed identification through advanced image recognition and machine learning technologies. This API is capable of accurately classifying a wide range of animal breeds, including those of dogs, cats, and other species, making it an invaluable resource for developers, pet care platforms, veterinary clinics, wildlife researchers, and anyone interested in identifying animal breeds from images.
By simply uploading an image, users can receive an accurate breed classification, along with a confidence score that indicates the likelihood of the identification being correct. The confidence score, which ranges from 0 to 1, provides valuable insight into the reliability of the classification, with higher scores representing greater accuracy. This feature allows users to quickly assess the certainty of the result, which is especially useful for situations where the breed identification needs to be highly reliable.

The Detection endpoint returns breed classifications for uploaded animal images, along with a confidence score indicating the accuracy of the identification.
The key fields in the response data include "breed" (the identified breed), "confidence" (a score from 0 to 1 indicating identification reliability), and potentially "species" (the type of animal).
The Detection endpoint requires a single parameter: a URL pointing to the image of the animal to be analyzed.
The response data is structured in JSON format, typically containing fields for breed, confidence score, and possibly additional metadata about the image or species.
Typical use cases include pet identification for owners, breed classification for veterinary purposes, and wildlife research for identifying species from images.
Data accuracy is maintained through advanced machine learning algorithms trained on a diverse dataset of animal images, ensuring reliable breed identification across various species.
Users can utilize the returned data by interpreting the breed and confidence score to make informed decisions, such as selecting appropriate care or training methods based on the identified breed.
Users can expect consistent data patterns where higher confidence scores correlate with more common breeds, while lower scores may indicate less certainty or rare breeds.
To obtain your API key, you first need to sign in to your account and subscribe to the API you want to use. Once subscribed, go to your Profile, open the Subscription section, and select the specific API. Your API key will be available there and can be used to authenticate your requests.
You can’t switch APIs during the free trial. If you subscribe to a different API, your trial will end and the new subscription will start as a paid plan.
If you don’t cancel before the 7th day, your free trial will end automatically and your subscription will switch to a paid plan under the same plan you originally subscribed to, meaning you will be charged and gain access to the API calls included in that plan.
The free trial ends when you reach 50 API requests or after 7 days, whichever comes first.
No, the free trial is available only once, so we recommend using it on the API that interests you the most. Most of our APIs offer a free trial, but some may not include this option.
Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial that allows you to make up to 50 API calls at no cost, so you can test our APIs without any commitment.
Zyla API Hub is like a big store for APIs, where you can find thousands of them all in one place. We also offer dedicated support and real-time monitoring of all APIs. Once you sign up, you can pick and choose which APIs you want to use. Just remember, each API needs its own subscription.
