The API returns a JSON object containing a spam score, details about the content and sender's IP, and the number of spam words detected. The key fields include "Score," "isIPBlocked," "isContentSpam," "numberOfSpamWords," and "spamWords."
The key fields in the response include "Score" (spam score from 0 to 6), "isIPBlocked" (indicates if the sender's IP is blacklisted), "isContentSpam" (indicates if the content is spam), "numberOfSpamWords" (count of spam words), and "spamWords" (list of identified spam words).
The response data is structured as a JSON object. It includes a top-level score and a "Details" object that provides additional information about the spam assessment, such as IP status and spam word details.
The Detect Spam endpoint accepts two parameters: "text" (the content to analyze) and an optional "senderIP" (the sender's IP address). Users can customize their requests by providing these parameters to enhance spam detection accuracy.
The endpoint provides information on the spam score of the submitted text, whether the sender's IP is blacklisted, the number of spam words detected, and a list of those spam words, allowing users to assess the content's legitimacy.
Data accuracy is maintained through advanced algorithms that analyze text patterns and compare sender IPs against multiple blocklists. Continuous updates and quality checks ensure the API remains effective in identifying spam.
Typical use cases include filtering spam in emails, blocking spam submissions in contact forms, preventing abusive behavior in live chats, and moderating comments on blogs to maintain content quality.
Users can utilize the returned data by interpreting the spam score to determine content legitimacy. A score of 3 or higher indicates potential spam, while the list of spam words can help refine filtering criteria in applications.
